Did you know?

Today I learned that on New Year's Eve Spaniards do not count down 10...9...8...etc. Instead when the clock hits twelve they eat a grape for each gong that comes from the clock in the Puerta del sol. The Puerta del Sol is like the Times Square of Spain. The grape signifies good luck so they eat twelve. One for each month of the year. I thought this was a really interesting tradition and everyone in Spain partakes in this.
