So I have got a pretty good sense of direction, thanks to mi madre, but spanish street signs make it difficult even for an expert. There are no sign posts on the corner of each street. They only have small plagues on the walls of the buildings on the corners of the streets...and even that doesn't happen all the time. When walking this can be annoying but generally the signs can be easy to find since you are close. Yesterday I got to thinking about what it would be like to drive in the city. In every spanish city they have the same set up for the street signs and there is no possible way to see these plagues from your car. I do not know how tourists or even Spaniards know how to find their way with out street signs. It is crazy. Every once in a while there will be a big sign naming the direction to a major location but not everyone is going to the main spots in the city. No sé. It is very different and I am so thankful that I do not have to drive here and only need to navigate the sidewalks of Spain.

An example of the difficult to find street signs...yeah...haha.
