Vocabulario de puta madre

Disclaimer. This blog post is about street talk in Spain so some of the stuff is not PG. Spaniards cuss a lot more and throw around words casually that we would never say in public. Our teacher Andy today told us some street language so we would know what people were saying on the streets of Spain and so we would not be surprised when someone said joder on the street (you will learn what that means later).

Expression with your friends
Qué chungo! = That's rough
Me mola = I like ____
Qué asco! = how gross!
Qué besita! someone with no tact
Dígame? = This is what you say when you pick up the phone
Esa es una juerguista = Someone that loves to party
Qué ganas tengo de ____! = I can't believe ____!
Es el alma de la fiesta= the life of the party
Es un aquafiestas = is a wet blanket
Da igual = when you have no preference
Cuando las vacas vuelen = this is the same as when pigs fly but instead they say when cows fly
Es muy majetón = someone that is attractive inside and out :) this is a good compliment
Déjame en paz = leave me alone. this is very strong. I use this with Spanish men cause they are so extremely annoying
Que peaso! = something that is a bother
Don Juan= a player
Meter la pata = commit an error

Insultos

(directed towards men)
Cabrón = jerk, asshole
capullo = dick head
mamón = jerk
gilipollas = jerk, asshole
desgraciado= you are a disgrace

(directed towards women)
Zorra= mean self interested women
perra= lose women
puta= a witch

General insults
No me toques los huevos = stop pissing me off. This is really strong and a huge insult
or you can use it like this
Pablo pasa el día tocándose los huevos= this means you are a lazy bum
Coño = you say this when you are surprised
Ser un coñazo= when something is difficult
Estar de coña= pulling my leg

Lastly my teacher made a table of things you say in the bar and things that are "señora approved" It is like when we say darn and then the water downed version is darn.

Joder= Fuck
but Spaniards when around kids and stuff say "jolín"
Mierda=Shit
watered down they say "míercoles" this one cracks me up because literally translated it means Wednesday but it is just that it sounds like mierda.

Well I can't believe I just wrote about cussing but here in Spain people on the streets say this way more often than in the US. Being crude is acceptable here.
