Amigos < 3

Yesterday I went to the pool again with Rachel, Katherine, and Alli. There were a bunch of people there from our group. It was nice to just be lazy. I have noticed I have been doing a lot of just laying around. Classes start this week though so I will have more to do during my free time. Anyway after I went to the pool we stopped at the grocery store to pick up some food. I will talk more about food later…it is worth another blog post. After going to the supermarket, which was in a shopping mall (It was kind of odd haha and a bizarre location) I walked back to my place where I got ready to just hang out at the plaza. My seƱora makes fun of me for always going to the plaza but come on! It is such a beautiful place. How could you resist it! We all met in the plaza and headed to a free jazz concert which was in an outside garden. It was so beautiful. It was just one of those great nights where you don’t want it to end because it feels so perfect. I mean what isn’t perfect about laying in the grass with all your new friends, some of which you feel like you have known forever, listening to jazz with a cathedral lit up in the background.

Sometimes you just can’t put words to moments like that. I just think of God and how amazing he is. Why do I deserve all of this? What is his plan? Why am I meeting these people? Sorry to get all deep on you but when you are off in a foreign country with really no one you know you get to thinking. I feel so blessed. I have a loving family and great friends at home and now I am making even more friends on this trip. It is unbelievable how incredibly close I feel to some of these people already. I haven’t even known them for a full week and I am already best friends with some of them. It is amazing how these trips work. I am just being my crazy self and somehow I met these people. Idk It blows my mind how things work out.

All I know is that some of these people will be in my life for a long time. After we hung out at the Jazz concert we walked and chilled in the plaza. We decided to grab some late night tapas. We had a ton of fun just laughing and talking. We called it our lame night because we didn’t go out or do anything crazy but it was anything but lame. I got closer with my friends and even made a new one. Life is good.
