The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain

Today it rained for the first time since I have gotten here...so different from Michigan I know! It actually hailed a little bit too. It was funny watching everyone react to the increasing frequency of rain drops coming down. Everyone like gasped and ran for cover. I think I was the only one that kept the same pace and didn't mind getting wet. I guess I am just use to getting caught in the rain. It is a very rare occurrence here so people freak when it happens and do not know what to do with themselves.

Today was a good day. I started off feeling really sick but I took a nap and now I feel much better. Life is good. I love being here. I got to facetime Patrick today. It was nice talking to him but it makes me miss my family. Oh well. The time will come for me to see them but right now I need to live in this moment, in this city, in this culture.
